It started in our own kitchen.

Pyaree did not begin with a business plan. It began with a simple question.

“Can we bring an oil to our kitchen that is closer to its natural form?”

As we looked more closely at refined oils and how they are processed, we found ourselves wanting something different. Refining can involve multiple processing steps, including high-temperature processing and chemical processing aids.

We wanted to explore an alternative — an oil that could be brought to the table unrefined and without intentional heating during pressing, while preserving the natural character of the oilseed.

For the next two years, we researched, travelled and learned.

We visited different oil-processing facilities. We went to mandis in search of high-quality oilseeds. We met people involved in sourcing and processing. We studied different seeds, explored different methods and kept asking the same question.

“Can we make an oil that we would be proud to serve to our own family?”

We weren’t looking for the easiest way to make an oil. We were looking for the right way to make one.

After two years of research, visits, conversations and countless learnings, that journey gave birth to Pyaree Woodpressed Oils.

Our commitment is simple: Unrefined. Unheated. 100% Pure Wood-Pressed Oils.

We want to preserve the natural aroma, character and richness of carefully selected oilseeds and bring that experience into everyday cooking.

For us, Pyaree is deeply personal. Because before it became a brand, it was something we wanted for our own home.

And that is still the standard we try to hold ourselves to — would we be happy putting this on our family’s table? If the answer is yes, we know we are on the right path.
